Commenting: It Demeans Us All

For a while now, we’ve been trying to figure out what exactly the point in having a comments section is, 90 percent of the time there’s rarely any actual ‘discussion’ it’s just people anonymously hatin’ (fair enough, we’re awful, awful people, but you know you can email/phone/facebook us any time, right?), or it’s just folks who don’t get our jokes (stupid people). Having that stuff below our hilarious and informative internet articles demeans everyone involved (the best was when teenage weed smokers went postal on each other).

So from now on, we’re only going to put comments on articles that warrant discussion, unless you can give us a good reason to keep them before the end of today.

Otherwise, it’s over, nerds.

commenting is important because you get to see multiple points of view, from this community of London hipsters who are better and more original than the ones who read vice, or sbtvc even.
