I have a friend who is attracted to the kind of girls that look permanently scared, they look doe-eyed and overly alert and cower behind him at social gatherings, I tend to not deal well with girls like that as I get nervous myself around people who don’t say much and end up overcompensating quite a lot by talking at them too much. These girls annoy me because they take up too much of my time at parties that my friend is at and also because I figure by your early twenties you should be over that kind of scaredy cat behaviour, it’s not that attractive (except to my friend) and people find you to be incredibly hard work. How are you supposed to make new friends if you’re always making it so clear you’re terrified of everything?
