I’ve never heard anything Singing Sweet before but this is great, he gives this hardcore riddim (produced by Stephen McGregor) a really nice classic dancehall feel to it.

Last year we told you how amazing this festival is (despite what you might think), read up and buy your tickets now. There are some badly thought out plans going about us doing a Boiler Room live show from a caravan or something, we’ll see. Either way, go go go.

One Man’s infamous club night ‘Standard Place’, from a few years back, is being resurrected at The Alibi on Saturday 26th June, it’ll be good. We asked him to come host his own Standard Place takeover at The Boiler Room to co-inside with it. He’s bringing Loefah, Jon Rust, and maybe another special guest with him. Going in…

Recently we’ve been making music more of a focus here at Platform; a few months ago we started The Boiler Room, next week we launch our all new music blog, and later on ‘Platform Radio’ – in association with 8tracks.com. This is the first in a series of parties we’re throwing, really really amazing parties.

Like it or not, this summers carnival anthem has been decided, it’s called ‘Hold Yuh’ by Gyptian.

We’re throwing a party in Brooklyn this week with Hold Box Flat, and Gabriel Pryce, it is going to be fun. Music from both sides of the ocean, grass is always greener, etc etc etc, friends and family welcome.
