People get annoyed with fixed gear riders because they seem so neat and organised -it comes off as smug even if it’s actually not. Either way, one of those smug pricks came up with this ingenious solution to riding on ice, which you can hate him for, but at least he can now ride on ice, can you? Just because something’s a fad doesn’t mean it’s not effective. That in itself is pretty annoying, I completely recognise that, but it’s true.
