Simian Mobile Disco are about to unleash their second album of rich electronic jams named Temporary Pleasure on the 17th August. This is the first big hitting single taken from it and features guest vocals by Chris Yeating from Yeasayer. The video is directed by Kate Moross who’s pretty much a fashion nail bomb.

It’s a rather colourful affair to accompany an opinion splitting return by SMD. Filled with tiny robots rolling around and some honey mysteriously dripping off a male model, it’s a surreal journey through part-retro part-fresh visuals accompanied by arguably SMD’s most crossover effort to date. While It’s The Beat and Hustler proved that the pair had some killer songs buried deep within their debut album, it’s Audacity Of Huge that finally takes that potential and translates it into what is both a potential blogsphere and commercial smash rolled into one. Moross succesfully takes potentially vague vocals and attaches strong signifiers to them, creating a stronger reliance on the vocals in motion than in audio.
