In Poland they draw their own film posters. How incredibly cool is that? Do you think they can afford to import the films, but their budget stops at the promotional material? Or do you think it’s a tradition? I’m just a dumb Western European so I think it adds an extra gravitas to the movies, it makes them all (even Crocodile Dundee 2) look like the kind of film they’d show at a cinema run by men in black jumpers who look up from their copy of Proust to sell you a ticket, and you’re allowed to smoke while you watch the film.
