I’m so bored of listening to radio DJs tell me about what they had for breakfast (hello Vernon Kay), so it sucks that one of the best known and respected comedians in the country has had to resign from his Radio 2 show because of the BBC’s lack of attention to detail.
Russell ‘heroin-chic’ Brand, and Jonathan ‘wibble-wobble’ Ross left a series of voicemails on ex-Faulty Towers actor Andrew Sach’s phone after he failed to answer when he was scheduled to partake in an interview. The two DJs then decided to conduct their interview monologue style, and made jokes about screwing Sach’s granddaughter, who happens to be a burlesque dancer belonging to a group called, ‘The Satanic Sluts’. Brand resigned last night, saying he “only did the radio show to make people laugh.” He decided that given the subsequent coverage that he’ll stop doing the show. He finished his offical statement, read by a solicitor, “Hare Krishna.”
