Remember the aching disappointment you felt after listening to the second Killers album? We think we might have found the remedy: their mates. Love Like Fire use to be buddies with The Killers back in Vegas and while they share their passion for indie music on an epic scale, they aren’t fronted by a raving egotistical Mormon who wouldn’t know a decent live show if one was shouting “turn it up you miserable git” from the bottom of the Reading mainstage.

Their new single is called Stand In Your Shoes and it ain’t bad but the last single William was better so let’s have a listen to that.

William – Love Like Fire

Splendid.

We sent the same set of questions to each member of the band and frankly some of their answers were more interesting than others, so we’re only going to show the best answer for each question.

When was that last time you said “That’s sounds incredible?
Marty: When I tried out a Fender Deluxe amp.

When was the last time you thought, you know what, one day, I could be a proper popstar?
Marty: I plan on being an improper “popstar.”

When was the last time you wrote a song and what was it about?
Dave: I mainly help other people write songs. When I write music it usually sounds like Tortoise but not as good.

When was the last time you cried?
Eric: I just fake cried about 5 minutes ago in response to a walrus being bludgeoned by a polar bear during Planet Earth.

When was the last time you put your trust in a stranger?
Eric: The other day, when I was put in a harness and asked to fall to the ground during a video shoot.

What was the last book you read?
Ann: Perks of Being A Wallflower

When was the last time you stormed out?
Eric: I’m not one for that but these questions aren’t helping.

Catty.

Next we asked them to send us some pics of them being tourists in London. They obliged:

Very nice.
